Recently, I watched the Maze Runner movies, and it has become one of my favorite series I’ve watched. In order, the movies were “The Maze Runner”, “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials”, and “Maze Runner: The Death Cure.”
The Maze Runner series is about a group of teens who are known as “Gladers” and are trapped by a group of scientists called WICKED (World in Catastrophe Killzone Experiment Department) in a fatal maze. A small group of five boys and one girl were trapped and soon escaped. But then they found out they were still controlled by WICKED. This leads to a series of events that make them find out that a deadly virus has taken control of the world. They try to find a safe zone, but encounter many dangers while trying to find safety. Throughout this process, they have many deaths within their groups, but in the end, they eventually find a safe haven, and all their sacrifices were for the bigger picture and starting a new life safely.
I loved this movie series because of how it never had a dull moment and always kept you on the edge of your seat. Out of all the movies, my favorite was “The Maze Runner: The Death Cure.” I enjoyed seeing how everything played out. It was the most interesting to me because of how different the ending was compared to what I expected. I also enjoyed these movies because they remind me of “The Hunger Games.” “The Hunger Games” was one of my favorite movies, and when I watched The Maze Runner series, it gave a similar vibe.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this movie series to anyone. If you like suspenseful, action-packed science fiction movies, this is perfect for you.
