Tyjah Pattin is a junior at Cape Central High School. She is involved in many sports, such as swim, and track and field. She is also involved in after-school clubs like the art club, which she joined because she wants to learn more about art, speech and debate, and student council because she wants to make the school a better place. Pattin is very excited for her senior year and can’t wait for college. When she graduates from high school, she hopes to get into MIT, but if not, she would like to go to any college in Massachusetts.
Outside of school, Pattin likes to read, crochet, rollerblade, go out to eat, try new food, and also getting to see new places. Pattin hopes to make her family proud because most of her family members didn’t go to college so she sets that as her main personal goal to keep trying hard in school. Her favorite school subject is math because it’s very fun to learn and it’s easy to her. Pattin’s advice to sophomores and freshmen is to, “Make real friends, don’t slack off in your freshman year, and always ask for help when you’re struggling.”
