The study of astrology is complex; I sent out a survey asking a variety of questions about astrology, in total the survey had 100 responses. About 60% of students that responded are interested in Zodiac Signs. There are a total of 12 signs, and people have their own opinions on each sign. But typically most people will have a similar opinion about each sign. This article simply covers the most obvious common traits.

Students chose by 15% Sagittarius being their favorite sign, Sagittarius are Fire signs. Zodiac signs can differ from different genders. For example, Sagittarius women are known for being a little wild, independent, and feisty. Sagittarian women are arguably the wild child of the zodiac. They’re a woman that speaks her mind. Now  Sagittarius males tend to be on the athletic side, fun-loving, very sociable, and friendly. Of course, they’re honest. like the women of the sign, but they agree to everything just to have something in common with everyone. In my opinion, Sagittarius can be the most boring zodiac. I like a good argument every once in a while. 

Libra was the second most favorite zodiac, Libras are Air signs. Libra males are known for being good communicators; they always have something to say. (Never an awkward silence). He’ll make you laugh and become best friends with you and your friends. And they are typically filled with romantic thoughts as well. Libra women are known for being charming and beautiful. They’re well balanced and they thrive on making things orderly in other words aesthetically pleasing. Libras are the kings and queens of compromise, and they like making peace between others.

Cancer and Gemini were voted the top two least favorite zodiac signs. Cancer had 34% of the vote and Gemini had 13% a  large gap between the two. First, Cancer is a Water sign and is represented by the Crab. Cancer men and women basically have the same personality traits. They’re a homebody and are highly sensitive, as well as extremely self-protective. Cancer is typically loyal. They’re very emotional which sometimes causes problems because they inflict their emotions on others without thinking. Also a very moody sign. Cancers in relationships can be good at first with their loyal personality but might end up in a case of being emotionally manipulated by these signs. So be aware.

Gemini is an Air sign. They’re typically busying themselves with hobbies or jobs. Gemini’s are definitely social butterflies. A few negative traits they have are being indecisive, impulsive, unreliable, and very nosy. Geminis are easy-going and adjustable but usually have a motive for everything they do. This sign is known to be a master manipulator. Words are their weapon of choice. They think more than they feel or do. Geminis are also known for being the liveliest of the Air sign group. 

The last question asked in the survey was “In your opinion what is the most toxic sign?” Cancer was the most picked with 31 percent. And the second most picked was tied with Scorpio and Gemini at 10%. Since earlier in the article, I explained Cancer maybe you can infer why people picked it to be the most toxic. Their negative personality traits outweigh the positive, and same as Gemini. But Scorpios are extremely deep and emotional people. You can look that up, and it will be the first thing sites say on this sign. Scorpios are too sociopathic to have any actual friends in the sense of the word friends as many people understand it. Scorpios can do a pretty good job imitating your desired friend to what suits your needs. They’re natural leaders and can be very serious, Scorpios don’t acquire and maintain friendships to help their lives. In other words, they’re very independent.

Maybe you got to the end of this article and you’re wondering why I didn’t cover all 12 signs. I simply covered the responses I got on a survey sent to the students at Cape Central High. Zodiac signs are a tricky topic because it is just as polarizing as it is popular. The astrological signs are determined by the way the planets and star constellations are set. Many people only know their sun sign which is essentially your “main sign” and what most online daily horoscopes are based on. Horoscopes are basically a fortune based on your sign. Though I didn’t write about Capricorns people have their own opinions, “I think Capricorns can be pessimistic and they usually see the worst in everything even if it’s just a little problem they will play the what-if game and it gets annoying but they also have good traits just like any other sign they all have there good and bad trait,” stated Alivia Garmon.
