You’re at home in your bed, bored out of your mind, what is there to do? Tik Tok! Most remember it as Musical.ly in April of 2014, but after the title changed, we were all introduced to TikTok. Over 800 million users are on Tik Tok, and most get famous on the “for you page.” The top 3 followed users on Tik Tok are Charli D’Amelio. Addison Rae, and Zach King. 

In first place, with 91.3 million followers, is Charli D’Amelio. D’Amelio is a sixteen year old social media influencer and is known for her dancing skills. She started Tik Tok in 2019. Prior to Tik Tok, D’Amelio was a competitive dancer for over 10 years,   Her videos on Tik Tok usually consist of dance videos, and sometimes her videos feature other Tik Tok creators. Her videos usually get millions of views and likes and are shared all over many social media platforms. 

In second place, with 63.5 million followers, is Addison Rae. Rae is a social media star and dancer who grew up in Louisiana. She is a 20 year old influencer and can also be seen in the movie “Marnie’s World.” She started Tik Tok in 2019 and has grown fast since then. Like Charli, Rae posts dance videos with some featuring her friends and family. 

Finally, in third place, with 50.7 million followers, is Zach King. King is 30 years old and has been creating content since 2008 when he posted his first ever YouTube video called “My Phone Cooks Popcorn-Vine.” His career started on the app Vine and has been seen on other platforms like YouTube, Instagram, and Tik Tok. On Tik Tok, he posts videos of him doing magic. He is also known as a filmmaker and definitely a social media star. King calls his videos “digital sleight of hand,” which is far from the amazing content he makes!
