*WARNING! SPOILERS FOR Avengers: Endgame ARE INCLUDED IN THIS ARTICLE! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!*

Boy, oh boy! Sony and Marvel Studios just released the newest trailer for Spider-Man: Far From Home.

After the events of Endgame, Peter Parker must continue life as Spider-Man, but without Tony Stark. “The world needs its next Iron Man,” but is the world truly ready for the next “Iron Man?”  Far From Home takes place minutes after the events of Endgame, the world is still mourning over the loss of Robert Downey Jr.’s character, Tony Stark. How can the world be ready to move on from the loss of a hero so quickly? Moving aside from Endgame, Peter and his class, all of which are confirmed to have vanished from Thanos’ original snap at the end of Infinity War, take a trip to Europe.

However, Peter is avoiding to be Spider-Man at all costs. Holland’s character just wants to focus on his love interest, Michelle “M.J.” Jones (Zendaya). The trailer continues with students like Ned Leeds (Jacob Batalon), Betty Brant (Angourie Rice), and Flash Thompson (Tony Revolori) enjoying their time in Europe. But all attention was turned to Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) confronting Parker in his “hotel room” for being hard to contact. The snap that Hulk caused to bring back the fallen from Infinity War “ripped a hole in our dimension” as Fury puts it.

This introduces the audience to Quentin Beck a.k.a. Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal). Mysterio claims the Earth that the main Marvel Cinematic Universe is based in is Earth-616, but he is from Earth-833, confirming the existence of a “Multiverse” in the MCU.  Short clips show us the Elementals, a villain group based on the three main elements of Earth. The characters are based on Hydro-Man, Molten Man, and Sandman. Whether the characters actually are the characters are based on is still up in the air until the film comes out. But fans are still wondering if the Elementals are the real antagonists of the movie, speculating that Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio is having a much more sinister vibe than what the trailer has shown us. But as of now, the three Elementals are the “main antagonists” that create an incredible beast of a villain shown near the end of the trailer.

Peter and MJ have a moment alone to their selves, but when Peter says he has something to say, MJ makes the moment awkward by saying it’s obvious Peter is Spider-Man. Spider-Man shows off two new suits in action in the trailer, one being a S.H.I.E.L.D. issued stealth suit and a revamped Stark Suit, replacing the blue to black and sporting a big white spider on the back of the suit. The finale of the trailer gives an incredible throwback to the original, amazing Spider-Man theme song. But the question still stands, is Peter gonna take the stand or not? Spider-Man: Far From Home swings to theaters July 2, 2019.
