This past Monday, CHS students were treated to an hour of fun at the winter sports pep rally. After being greeted by the Tiger Dancers, Cheerleaders, and Student Senate members, students took their seats in the bleachers to watch the rest of the event. The pep squad created a tunnel for winter athletes to run through as they were introduced, followed by a cheerleading routine. Next, the winter homecoming court was introduced. Seniors Kinyon Hodges and Kaybreonna Clark were crowned King and Queen. Led by Student Body President Genesis Buitrago, the court then participated in a scavenger hunt activity, a spectacle that proved popular amongst students. The traditional Cape Central guy/girl dance commenced next. A dazzling and comedic display, it received plenty of applause from the crowd. Finally, student leaders from the Student Senate and the Jungle led the audience in a rainforest sound game and the roller-coaster. Overall, it was a great pep rally!
