Lunch Is On US

Recently, Cape Girardeau Public Schools have begun to serve free lunch for all. Some kids do not have food at home and not enough money to eat lunch at school. Breakfast has always been free, but now a free lunch includes a main entree and two sides.  Any extras will have to be paid for.  Vice Principal, Brice Beck, at Cape Central High School explained how he and the staff were excited when the District Superintendent, Neil Glass, announced that lunch will be free for everyone.  Cafeteria Director, Libby Jensen of Cape Central High School said that her workload has been increased due to the preparation of more food but it pays off because no one is turned down because they do not have enough funds in their account.
