Welcome Ms. Myers to CHS Journalism!
The Cape Central Tiger Newspaper is starting off their year with a new Advisor, Mollee Myers, a first full year teacher at CHS is stepping up to the plate, and is ready for a new task at hand. Myers started at Cape Central as an English teacher as a fill-in for a teacher who left, but plans to start off her first full year determined. Myers attended Southeast Missouri State University(SEMO) prior to her job at Cape Central and adjusting great to the Environment at CHS.
Myers states, “Schmidt talked to me a little bit about the job and thought I would be a good fit for it. It sounded like something really fun to do, and I have never taught Journalism before, but I feel like it will be a fun experience especially to get to know all the students.”
Next year will be the 103rd Volume of The Tiger Newspaper and the class plans for it to be a great year. Myers states, “Me and Mrs. Schmidt have communicated, made files, and folders. I went into the classroom and also learned some more stuff from the students and I plan to communicate with Mrs. Schmidt over the summer to brainstorm more ideas.”
The 2022-23 school year is off to a great start and The Tiger is left in great hands. “I’m most excited next year to in a sense to be your all’s cheerleader. I really just want you to all succeed so I want to be there to help you guys throughout your journeys, and I want what is best for you all.”
